Shri Mataji talks about Music (2)

Say, music, for art, for anything you have to have pure attention and that comes through your innocence. Say a person who is an artist and who's very money-oriented, say for example, a person who is doing some paintings and all that. His art cannot become eternal art. Cannot. That's why we see in modern times whatever art is created, it just comes and goes. It has no eternal value. Same with the modern music that they're having. The same thing is happening. It comes and goes and no one knows where it has disappeared. Behind it is money orientation and that money orientation results into a kind of a creation which is not perfect.

Shri Mataji talks about Music (1)

I am only sorry that people have no sense of understanding this great music that is in our country. If they listen to this music they'll have no diseases, no heart attacks, nothing. This is absolutely Divine and people should take to it in such a way that it's a blessing of God that we have such great artists in our country exisiting. My heart pines to see such artists not being properly recognised, appreciated and worshipped. I am sure one day will come when they will go all over the world and play this beautiful praise of Saraswati.

The Primordial Sound - Omkar

According to the Indian view, in the theory of the origin of the universe it has been brought out that the whole creation has come into existence out of the 'desire-power' of the Primordial Being (Shri Saha Shiva). Shri Sadashiva is called Ardha-Nari-Nateshwara (half-man and half-wowan).
When the Primordial Being (Shri Sada Shiva) desired to create, His creative energy separated from Him. This 'desire-power' is the Primordial Energy (Shri Adi Shakti). The manifestation of this Primordial Energy and the Primordial Sound (Omkar) took place simultaneously at one single moment of Time. The whole universe was created by the Primordial Energy and the Promordial Sound (Omkar). Om is the manifestation of three primordial powers, which are "A U M".

AUM is the synthesis of all the sounds of the highly vibrating life forces. This cosmic sound continuously flows in the ether. The cosmic sound of AUM is the combined vibration of three phases of Nature: "A" of AUM means the power of desire and existence. "U" of AUM is the power of action and creation. "M" of AUM is the power of evolution and awareness.

AUM, being the spiritual vibration, is not heard physically, but felt spiritually. The cosmic sound of AUM is the mother of all sounds and therefore, of all the languages. In the microcosmic universe of the body of man, the AUM vibration works through the vital activities in the astral spinal centers of life with their creative vibratory elements of Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether.

AUM is the voice of creation, testifying to the Divine presence in every atom.

"OMKAR" is the beginning of music and for this very reason music has become a universal language.
