Traditionally it is said that music passed from the Divine through Shri Saraswati to Shri Narada (an enternal Puranic sage), who in turn taught the gandharvas (Divine musicians) and gifted the art of music to humankind by means of the great sages of ancient times. Music is said to have first apppeared in ancient China, as sages began to contemplate the notes created by the wind as it whistled through the hollow stems of bamboo. 
According to the Indian view, in the theory of the origin of the universe it has been brought out that the whole creation has come into existence out of the 'desire-power' of the Primordial Being (Shri Saha Shiva). Shri Sadashiva is called Ardha-Nari-Nateshwara (half-man and half-wowan).Indian Musical Notes:
